History:
Archie came into the Senior Staffy Club from the pound. He completed his 7 days, but nobody came for him. Therefore, very little is known about Archie’s history.
Current:
Archie is currently in our Worcester kennels. Archie is a funny, friendly cheeky boy, who loves being with people.
He knows all his basic training, and if you have a treat - he will do anything!
Walking:
Archie is a fit boy and has learnt to walk very nicely on the lead. He no longer pulls you over to smells he likes.
He has shown interest in the sheep when walking through the fields, but he isn’t interested in horses when they pass him out on walks. He hasn’t shown any reaction to passing traffic down the lanes.
He does react when we pass dogs, but we do not feel he is being aggressive and he soon settles back down after. Although he hasn’t been dog tested, he has walked well in the company of another calm dog.
We have taken Archie to the local enclosed paddock, where he loves having a sniff around and having a good roll. However, he didn’t show any interest in a ball.
Travelling:
Archie travels well on the back seat, he lays down and watches the world go by through the window.
Vets:
The vet comes to kennels to see the dogs. Archie is always a very good boy for him to complete his health check, blood tests and vaccinations.
Health:
He has had a full health check, including a blood test and the vets have confirmed all his blood are within the normal ranges for his age.
Ideal home:
• Archie would need to be the only pet in the home.
• Archie is a Staffy X and is larger than your average Staffy. He is always keen to receive treats, so he would need to be rehomed with older children aged 14 plus.
• Being a stray, we are unsure whether he is house trained. He is, however, very clean in his kennel and hasn’t had any accidents in our sofa room.
Standard information:
Archie is microchipped, vaccinated and neutered.
He is currently in kennels in Worcester, but he can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However, any adopter should be willing to travel to meet him at least twice where he is now.
There is a non refundable adoption donation of £120 for Archie and all money donated goes directly to helping all the Senior Staffies in our care.
