History:
Bella and Bronson were much-loved family pets. Sadly, due to a change in their owner's circumstances where they have to look after family, the needs of Bella and Bronson couldn’t be met.
Current:
They are currently in kennels in Worcestershire. They have both settled well into the kennel routine; they are very happy, friendly dogs. They love human company and look forward to seeing their volunteer walkers daily.
Bella absolutely loves climbing up onto your lap to have cuddles after her walk, and Bronson loves to play with the toys in the toy box in the sofa room. They are both a bit partial to cheese Kong paste on a LickiMat and happily share the same mat.
Walking:
The pair of them walk very well together, both are excellent to harness up and get going. Bella is a little more wobbly on her legs, but in the time at kennels she has strengthened up really well. Neither of them pull on the lead. We are told both are dog reactive but, being rural, we haven’t met any off lead dogs or dogs approaching them, so we haven’t seen any reactions.
They have walked past dogs barking behind their garden fences, Bella was much more interested in having a look, but being a tiny dog - was easily encouraged to walk on.
Both Bella and Bronson aren’t bothered by passing cars or bikes down the lanes.
Travelling:
Bella and Bronson travelled well into kennels in the charity van. We will be testing them in the boot of the car together very soon.
Vets:
The vet comes to kennels to see the dogs. Both Bella and Bronson have been good dogs for their visits.
Health:
They have both had a full health check including blood test and restart on their vaccinations. The vet has confirmed all their blood are within the normal ranges for their age. Bronson had an MCT removed from his side just before he came into us and this has healed nicely. He was also neutered on 24th July and this has healed nicely too.
Ideal home:
Due to them being reactive, we would be looking for a home where they could be the only pets. A rural location where there aren’t too many dogs would be ideal for them.
Bella is not keen on children and, for that reason, any children living in the home should be aged 14+.
Both dogs are used to living indoors and are house-trained.
Bella absolutely loves snuggling into a ball on your lap, so someone who is home lots and loves cuddling would be perfect for Bella. Bronson is playful and loves a game of catch, so a garden would be a must.
They are happy to be left home alone for a few hours.
Standard information:
Both dogs are microchipped, vaccinated and neutered.
They are currently in kennels in Worcestershire, but can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However, any adopter should be willing to travel to meet them at least twice where they are now.
There is a non-refundable adoption donation of £180 for Bella and Bronson and all money donated goes directly to helping all the Senior Staffies in our care.
We aim to acknowledge your application within 48 hours.
