History:
Buddy was surrendered to SSC due to a marriage break up and he wasn’t able remain in the family home.

Current:
Buddy is currently in foster in Bridgnorth, he was in kennels for a while.

He is a lovely boy and adores human company. He loves to play with a ball or toy and will happily entertain himself.

His volunteer walkers say he’s a joy to watch when he's playing and he loves a little game of tug.

He loves treats and is happy to display his tricks for a reward.

Walking:
Buddy is a very good boy to harness up and loves going for a walk.

He absolutely loves sniffing the hedgerows and grass verges around the lanes by kennels.

He is really lovely to walk; he is respectful of the lead and doesn’t pull. One of his volunteer walkers say, "He’s always happy to be out and about on an adventure. He's always interested in his environment. He is a good boy and waits patiently if you stop to have a chat to a neighbour."

Travelling:
We haven’t travelled Buddy yet, this will be done very soon.

Vets:
The vet comes to kennels to see the dogs, so we have not seen him in a vet practice. Buddy is always a good boy for his visits.

Health:
He has had a full health check, including blood tests.

It was thought he could have had a water infection when he arrived with us, so he was given a course of antibiotics, and then had retests.

His second test results were much better.

In 2015 Buddy was hit by a car, which resulted in him having a metal plate and pins in his front left leg. This has left him with a little limp, but this doesn’t affect him.

Ideal home:
• We were told Buddy isn’t very good with dogs. He hasn’t been formally tested whilst with us. We have seen some dogs in gardens whilst out walking, he has been curious and very interested but hasn’t barked or appeared reactive.
• Buddy is a playful boy, he loves any toy and loves to play tug of war. He will often throw a rope toy around for himself.
• We are told Buddy is good with children, but due to his age, we feel he would be best with children aged 8 years plus.
• Buddy is house trained, and he is happy to be left home alone for a few hours, he takes himself off to bed or he happily plays by himself.

Standard information:
Buddy is microchipped, vaccinated and neutered.

He is currently in foster, but he can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However, any adopter should be willing to travel to meet him at least twice where he is now.

There is a non refundable adoption donation of £120 for Buddy and all money donated goes directly to helping all the Senior Staffies in our care.
