History:
Gracie came in to us at the end of March from the pound where she had been picked up as a stray.

A few days after arriving, she came into season. So she has been getting to know her volunteer walkers well in the sofa room.

Current:
Gracie is a super friendly girl, she is very confident and playful in the sofa room and yard.

She mastered the puzzle treats and snuffle mat very quickly.

She loves playtime and is a tug of war enthusiast, but is also gentle when taking treats. Gracie also loves to play fetch with a tennis ball before skinning it!

She knows her basic commands and will offer up a paw for a tasty snack.

Walking:
Gracie stands nicely to put her harness on, then once outside she’s keen to get going with her walk. Although, she isn’t as confident out and about - we feel she may not have been exposed to lots.

She doesn’t take time to stop and sniff, she is on a mission to get the walk done. She is quite strong on the lead, but only being 15.5kg she is easy to handle.

She hasn’t reacted to dogs out walking and, although she hasn’t been formally dog tested, we are quite confident she will be friendly.

Travelling:
Gracie travels nicely in the boot of the car, you don’t know she’s there.

Vets:
Gracie has seen the vet several times for her health check, vaccinations and treatment.

Health:
She has had a full health check including blood tests. All her bloods came back within normal ranges for her age. During her health check, it was discovered she required a dental. This was done on Monday 13th April 2026, where she also had several teeth removed, she has healed nicely.

Graice came into season soon after arrival, so will need to be spayed in 3 months time.

Ideal home:
Gracie is a lovely, friendly girl and with slow, careful introductions may be able to live with another calm dog.
She could live with children aged 10 years +, being a stray we do not have any history on her. She is quite a high energy dog and could knock smaller children over.
Gracie would suit a fairly active home where she can be engaged with her people both indoors and out and about. With time and patience, we are confident she will feel relaxed outdoors too.
Being a stray we are unsure whether she is house trained.

Standard information:
Gracie is microchipped and vaccinated, she will need to be neutered in 3 months’ time, this will be covered by Senior Staffy Club.

She is currently in kennels in Worcestershire, but she can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However, any adopter should be willing to travel to meet her at least twice where she is now.

There is a non refundable adoption donation of £120 for Gracie and all money donated goes directly to helping all the Senior Staffies in our care.
