History:

Izzy came into SSC in November 2025. Due to her owner's health, she had spent several months in a boarding kennel before coming to us.

Izzy came in with Max, but not being a bonded pair - the decision was made to rehome them individually.

Current:

Izzy is currently having a wonderful time in foster. She has been there for a month and has settled in beautifully.

Her frosty tells us she is a very affectionate girl, who loves a cuddle. She loves to investigate the garden, playing fetch and tuggy with her teddies with you.

She has been very clean in the house and has slept through the night from the first night.

Walking:

Izzy is very polite and sits to have her harness on for her walks.

She walks well on the lead without pulling. She does love a goof sniff.

Izzy is hit and miss with dogs, some she is fine with and will have a polite sniff and walk on, other dogs she isn’t keen on and can sometimes lunge.

Travelling:

Izzy really loves travelling in the car, she loves going on adventures. She will sometimes woof at a passing dog, but she soon stops.

Vets:

The vet came to kennels to see Izzy when she was there. She was always a good girl.

She has since visited the vets while in foster, and she was also very well behaved there.

Health:

Izzy had a full health check including blood tests. The vet confirmed her blood results were good for her age.

She was a little itchy when she arrived, the vet thinks this could just be slight allergies and prescribed Apoquel, which she takes daily.

Ideal home:

Izzy has lived with a male Staffy in the past, but she can be hit and miss with dogs out walking. We therefore feel she would be best rehomed as the only pet in the home.

Izzy is a playful girl and loves to talk to you, so we feel children living in the home should be aged 14+.

She is very clean in the home, we haven’t had any accidents.

She absolutely loves snuggling on the sofa next to you, so someone who is home lots and loves company would be perfect for Izzy.

She is a confident girl, but isn’t keen on being left home alone for long periods of time. She isn’t destructive in anyway, but loves you to be home with her.

Standard information:

Izzy is microchipped and vaccinated, We aren’t sure whether she is neutered. If not, she will need to be spayed within 6 months of adoption, SSC will cover the costs of this.

She is currently in foster in Birmingham, but she can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However, any adopter should be willing to travel to meet her at least twice where she is now.

There is a non-refundable adoption donation of £120 for Izzy and all money donated goes directly to helping all the Senior Staffies in our care.
