History:
Lola G came to SSC after she was being given away for free on Facebook.
Current:
Lola was very timid when she first arrived at kennels and didn’t want to leave her bed. But she quickly blossomed into a much more confident girl who loves the attention of all the volunteers.
She’s a very friendly girl who loves spending time with people and having cuddles and dishing out lots of staffy snogs!
She loves to sunbathe and is more than happy to sit outside and chill next to the volunteers whilst having cuddles and tummy rubs.
Whilst she’s more focused on having affection, she does like to play with her toys sometimes too and her favourite game is tug.
Walking:
Lola walks well on the lead without pulling.
She enjoys her walks and investigating all the best smells.
She is non-reactive to dogs and doesn’t seem to be phased by much on her walks.
Travelling:
Lola has been on a few trips of about 20 minutes with us.
She settles down very quickly and is quiet throughout the journey. She will either lie down or sit watching the world go by through the window
Vets:
Lola can be a little timid at the vets, but is very well behaved.
She waits nicely in the waiting room and was no problem at all for her bloods and examination - as long as we were giving her cuddles!
Health:
Lola is in good health. Her routine bloods all came back completely normal. We had two lumps sampled and sent off for testing. These both came back as fatty lumps and nothing to be concerned about.
Lola has not been spayed. She was showing signs of being at the end of her season when she arrived into our care at the end of April, so she should be able to safely be spayed around July and SSC can help with the cost of the operation.
Ideal home:
Lola could possibly live with another dog. She shows no reactivity and is calm in the presence of other dogs. However, she has never lived with one before.
She could live with children 8 years plus – we do know she lived with children previously.
We don’t know how Lola is when being left alone, so we would ideally be looking for a home where she isn’t left alone for long periods frequently.
Standard information:
Lola is microchipped and has started her vaccinations.
She is currently in kennels in Stoke-on-Trent, but she can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However, any adopter should be willing to travel to meet her at least twice where she is now.
There is a non refundable adoption donation of £120 for Lola G and all money donated goes directly to helping all the Senior Staffies in our care.
