History:
Misty came to us from the pound, so we have no background on her.
Current:
Misty is a very friendly, affectionate little girl who is full of fun.
She loves having a fuss and giving kisses – she’ll put her paws on your shoulder for a little cuddle when she’s excited to see you!
She loves playing with toys, both having a game of chase and tug - but in true staffy style, some of her toys do magically explode at times!
Misty loves her treats and will sit, give paw and lie down on cue - especially when treats are involved.
Walking:
Misty walks well on the lead and, although she still has plenty of energy, she doesn’t pull.
She’s not a fan of other dogs getting too close to her and can be reactive, but she’s very easily redirected away from other dogs and soon forgets all about them.
She would need walks in areas that weren’t overly dog busy and where she could get plenty of space. We do think that with some training, Misty could definitely improve in this area, although she may never become completely dog social.
Travelling:
Misty travels really well – she can whine a little, but soon settles down.
Vets:
Misty is very well behaved at the vets. She can struggle if the waiting room is full of other pets, so she may need to wait outside at busy times.
She was good as gold for her examination and blood draw.
Health:
Misty has been seen by our vets for an examination and routine blood draw and has been given a completely clean bill of health.
Ideal home:
Misty would need to be the only dog in the home and cannot live with any cats/small furries.
We don’t have any history on Misty, so ideally would like a home where she’s not left alone for long periods of time as we don’t know how she copes being left by herself.
Misty can live with children 10 years plus
Standard information:
Misty is microchipped, vaccinated and neutered.
She is currently in kennels in Stoke and she can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However, any adopter should be willing to travel to meet her at least twice where she is now.
There is a non refundable adoption donation of £120 for Misty and all money donated goes directly to helping all the Senior Staffies in our care.
