Nova came to us from another rescue where she has been since October after being handed in as a stray.
She is currently in foster in Worcestershire. She as settled very well in her foster home, her frosty mum says she is a happy intelligent girl.
She is non-destructive and clean in the house. She is happy to be left for up to 3 – 4 hours without issues.
She is non-reactive to loud noises and traffic. She sleeps through thunder, so we guess fireworks won’t bother her either.
She loves her walks, playtime and zoomies in the garden. Soft toys explode in Nova’s company, but she absolutely loves the rubber toys and balls. She can often be seen trotting round the house with her rubber rugby ball in her mouth.
Nova walks well on the lead, she can pull sometimes when she sees another dog.
She isn’t keen on other dogs walking towards her, but she is easily managed by changing direction or moving out of the way and getting her attention with treats.
She is happy with dogs passing by at a reasonable distance.
She loves to swim when given the chance.
Nova travels well in the car. Her favourite position is in the front seat next to you.
The vet comes to the foster home to see Nova and she is always a very good girl for him.
She has had full health check including blood tests. All her bloods came back within normal ranges.
Before Nova came to us, she had received a few operations.
The first one was in October 2023, she had her spleen removed due to a tumour and she was spayed at the same time.
The second operation was in March 2024 where she has mammary masses removed.
Ideal home:
• Nova would need to be the only pet in the home.
• She would benefit from a rural home, where her walks wouldn’t be in busy dog walking areas.
• She could live with older children aged 10 years +.
• Nova is happy to be left for up to 3-4 hours.
• She is house trained and doesn’t chew.
Standard information:
Nova is microchipped, vaccinated and neutered.
She is currently in foster in Worcestershire, but she can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However, any adopter should be willing to travel to meet her at least twice where she is now.
There is a non refundable adoption donation of £120 for Nova and all money donated goes directly to helping all the Senior Staffies in our care.
