HISTORY

Bruce was signed over to us by his previous owner. They’d rehomed him from a dog’s home, but he was recently starting to fight with their other dog. Bruce’s family were very sad to let him go but wanted to give him the chance to find a home without any other pets, where he would be happier.

CURRENT

Bruce is a very friendly, happy little chap. He loves interacting with all his volunteer friends at kennels, whether it’s playing with his toys in the paddock, showing off his treat catching skills or having a tummy rub. .

WALKING

Bruce walks really well on the lead and doesn’t pull. In his previous home, he preferred to go for several short walks as he preferred being at home – whilst in kennels, he generally has two 30-minute walks a day and is happy with this. He still has plenty of energy for playing in the paddock afterwards though so could probably walk further than this. He can be reactive to some dogs but is generally easily distracted, especially with a treat or two! He doesn’t like loose dogs running up to him, so this should be kept in mind when choosing where to walk him..

TRAVELLING

He has been on several journeys in our van and has travelled well with just a little bit of whining. In his previous home, he would regularly travel by public transport including both bus and train.

VETS

He was well behaved on his recent trip to the vets. There were several dogs in the waiting room who ignored him so he didn’t react (however if it were busier etc he may be more reactive).

HEALTH ISSUES

Bruce has had a full vet check-up since coming into our care and is in good health.

IDEAL HOME

Bruce has never lived with or been around children so we would like him to go to a home with older children only. In his previous home, he was happy being left for a few hours at a time. He would need to be the only pet in the home.

STANDARD INFORMATION

Bruce is fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.

There is an adoption donation of £120 for Bruce, and all money donated goes directly to helping all the seniors in our care.
