HISTORY

Chance came to SSC from a local dogs home. He found himself in need of a new home due to a family breakdown.

CURRENT

Chance is a friendly, excitable and loving boy. He’s always happy to see his volunteer friends at the kennels and loves being out and about. He likes playing with his toys, but is also happy to have a cuddle and gives lots of gentle kisses. He loves his treats too and will do his favourite party trick of giving two paws at once for them!

IDEAL HOME

We know that in his previous home, Chance wasn’t happy being left for long periods of time. So we would like somebody who is around for most of the time.

He could possibly live with another dog after several successful introductions.

He can be a bouncy boy when he gets excited so for that reason, we would prefer any children to be around 12 years+ old. He can jump quite high so would need a secure garden with high fences. Chance is unable to live with cats or any small furries.

HEALTH ISSUES

Chance has had an upset stomach since his arrival at SSC. He has had several tests to rule out any health issues and his recent blood tests have all come back normal. We are just waiting for the results from further tests.

He is underweight at the moment and so hasn’t been neutered – this will need to be done when he is at a healthier weight and SSC will cover the costs for this.

WALKING

Although very eager to get going on his walks, Chance walks great on the lead and doesn’t pull. He does get excited when he sees other dogs though and may pull a little to catch up with them if they’re ahead.

TRAVELLING

Chance travels well and although he whines a little to start with, he does settle down and sits still. He is much calmer and quieter on the return journey.

VETS

Chance is very well behaved at the vets. He has had several examinations and blood tests without any issues. Whilst in the waiting room there have been several dogs that he’s always eager to say hello to.

STANDARD INFORMATION

Chance is vaccinated and microchipped. He is not currently neutered as he is underweight – this must be done once he has put on weight and SSC will cover costs.

He is in kennels in Stoke-On-Trent, but can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However, any adopter should be willing to travel to meet him twice where he is at that time.

There is an adoption donation of £120 for Chance and all money donated goes directly to helping all the Senior Staffies in our care.
