Stella came into the Senior Staffy Club after she was found with her deceased owner, so very little is known about her.
Stella is currently in kennels in Worcester, she has settled really well there. She is really quite vocal in the kennels when she knows it’s time for her volunteers to come and walk her.
In kennels she hasn’t shown interest in toys or balls. She knows her basic commands and will happily give you her paw, and she takes treats gently.
Due to being in kennels, and not knowing her past, we are unsure if she is house trained, however she is a clean girl in her kennel. Stella is a little fidgety in the boot of the car, but will settle after a while, she was a very good girl with the vets.
• Someone who is home lots, as we are unsure if she has ever been left on her own.
• Children in the home would need to be 12 years + because we do not have any history on her.
• Only Pet in the home.
After Stella came into SSC, she was given a full health check including checking bloods, everything came back normal.
She has suffered with was a water infection, this was cleared up with a course of antibiotics. She also has a cluster of skin tags on her chest.
She was also really quite thin when she arrived, we have taken time to build her weight and fitness up and she is now a healthy weight.
She loves her walks and is very keen to get out. She walks beautifully on the lead by your side, you do not realise she is there. She is currently going out for walks of about 45 minutes.
Stella is a good girl out walking – she mostly ignores other dogs, but can have a little bark at some.
Stella has not been tested in the company of off lead dogs. She hasn’t taken interest in livestock or horses, but she has not been tested off lead.
Travelling Stella is a little fidgety in the car, but does settle down.
She is a very good girl at the vets, she is happy to be examined/touched all over. Due to Covid 19, we have not taken Stella into the waiting room, so she is untested in an enclosed waiting area.
Stella is vaccinated and microchipped.
We are unsure whether she is neutered at the moment. If she isn’t, she will need to be spayed within 6 months of adoption.
She is in kennels in Worcester, but can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However, any adopter should be willing to travel to meet her where she is at that time.
There is an adoption donation of £120 for Stella and all money donated goes directly to helping all the Senior Staffies in our care.
