Dogs Available For Adoption

Dogs Available For Adoption

These Staffies are looking for a new home – simply click on the image you like below and you’ll be taken to a page setting out full details of the dog, along with more images.

Available dogs’ pages also carry an adoption application link at the foot of their page. This will be followed by a telephone call to discuss your application and the dog you have applied for, if you have been shortlisted.

Please note: We do not operate a formal waiting list, but we do keep a pool of suitable previous applicants who may have been unsuccessful when applying for a previous dog.

When our dogs are ready for adoption, we review these details and, where appropriate, try to match them with applicants already known to us. This means that a dog shown in our Coming Soon section may sometimes be matched and adopted before they ever appear as a live listing on our website.

Applications can only be made once a dog is live on the website, and we do not accept applications for non-specific dogs.

And we always respond to every application made - please remember to check your junk folder.

The availability status of our seniors is shown under the three headings below in line with our adoption process:
AVAILABLE – Just that. Simply complete the application form link on the dog’s profile page.
COMING SOON – Applications are not open for these dogs yet, as they are new to SSC and currently being assessed, but they should be available soon.
ON HOLD – Applications are currently being reviewed, or a health or behavioural issue has arisen and needs resolving.
RESERVED – An applicant to adopt is subject to a successful home check and meetings with the dog in question, to assess the dog/applicant relationship.
