Welcome to the Senior Staffy Club’s website!

We are a registered charity [No: 1156723], dedicated to rescuing and re-homing more mature (aged 7 years and older) Staffordshire Bull Terriers and Staffy cross dogs.

The Staffies we care for are senior dogs who have found themselves in rescue and in need of a new home for many reasons; their owner may have passed away; family circumstances may have changed or they have simply been picked up by the dog warden as a stray.

As they are older they can find it difficult to find new homes, but we work hard to make sure they do and we will care for them until that perfect home comes along. We are unique in that we are a breed specific rescue whose sole focus is the Senior Staffy.

We are based mainly in the Midlands area, but rehome throughout the UK.
Dog of the Month
Hank

Hank came into Senior Staffy Club after he was finding living with a toddler very stressful.

Hank is currently in kennels in Worcestershire. When he arrived, he found the change very very stressful. He wasn’t a brave boy and didn’t want to be touched. He would stand at the back of his run, crouched down at a safe distance from us.

It took several weeks, just sitting outside his kennel run, chatting to him and singing to him, slowly gaining his trust.

As soon as you gain his trust, he is the most amazing boy! He is an energetic, excitable ball of fun. He loves to play ball and has absolutely loved playing in his paddling pool.

He is a good boy with his sit commands and will gently give his paw when asked. He takes his treats gently.

Hank is a very special boy and we love him dearly here at SSC. He will make the most wonderful best friend to the right person/family. He just needs love and patience...can you be Hank's forever?
