History:
Bing arrived at Senior Staffy Club after his owner passed away. When he arrived he was very stressed and frightened, refusing to eat or come out of his bed.
Current:
He is currently in our Worcester kennels. We gave Bing lots of time and reassurance when he arrived. We have watched his confidence grow and personality blossom into a beautiful happy and playful boy.
He is now super friendly and loves every one of his volunteer walkers. He loves a little game of ball and the puzzle game…but only if you put tasty treats inside!
He has lovely manners and takes his treats gently.
Walking:
We were told Bing hadn’t been walked much and was unsure how to walk alongside you, he now walks amazingly... you don’t even know you have him at the end of the lead.
He is a strong, fit lad and will happily walk for as long as you want.
Bing has not been dog tested, but he has happily walked in other dogs’ company in a calm lead environment with a safe distance between the dogs.
He doesn’t react to the other dogs in kennels or in their gardens when we walk down the lanes.
He hasn’t reacted to people, push bikes or traffic passing him whilst out and about down the lanes.
After his walk love loves nothing more than to visit the sofa room. He really enjoys a good roll on the sofa and then snuggles up for cuddles.
He loves the tennis ball and will throw it around for himself!
Travelling:
Bing has not travelled with us yet, but this will be tested very soon.
Vets:
The vets visited Bing at kennels to complete his health check, blood and vaccinations. He was a good boy for the vet.
The vet also took blood tests and investigated an old, deep ear infection. We sedated him for these as we didn’t want to stress him, he wasn’t keen on being restrained due to past handling.
His ear has been treated with strong meds and all appears to have cleared up.
Health issues:
He has had a full health check, including blood tests, and all his results have come back normal.
Bing has not been neutered, so this will need to be done once he has been rehomed. The cost of this procedure will be covered by SSC.
Ideal home:
Bing is looking to be the only pet in the home.
We are unsure whether Bing has ever been left, so someone who is home lots would be preferred and then time alone can be built up.
We are told Bing is good with older children, so children would need to be 12 years +. He is a big playful lad, so may knock smaller children over.
Standard information:
Bing is microchipped and vaccinated. Bing has not been neutered, so this will need to be done once he has been rehomed. The cost of this procedure will be covered by SSC.
He is currently in our Worcester kennels, but he can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However, any adopter should be willing to travel to meet him at least twice where he is now.
There is a non refundable adoption donation of £120 for Bing and all money donated goes directly to helping all the Senior Staffies in our care.
We aim to acknowledge your application within 48 hours.
