Dingo

SEX: Male
AGE: 9 Years Old
LOCATION: Worcester
CHILDREN: Not tested – 10 years plus
DOGS: Not shown any aggression out walking, but best as only dog
CATS: Not tested

History:
Dingo came into us at SSC from the Pound. His owner was contacted, but was not able to care for him any longer, so surrendered him to the pound.

Current:
Dingo has only been with us for a short while, but he has shown he is a kind friendly boy, who loves giving kisses. He loves to go for walks and can be a little vocal when you first arrive at kennels as he knows it's walk time!

His tail does not stop wagging, he’s such a happy boy.

He is a little overweight, so we are working on that and we’re currently building up his walking times. He is loving every minute out and about, sniffing the hedgerows and exploring.

Dingo hasn’t really shown much interest in toys or balls just yet.

Walking:
Dingo is always ready to go for a walk! When he first arrived, he could be a little strong on the lead. However, he is now settling nicely into a daily routine and has started to walk beautifully. His walking time is steadily increasing as he is getting fitter.

Travelling:
Dingo hasn’t been out in the van with us yet, we will update this section very soon.

Vets:
Dingo is a good boy at the vets and allows the vet to examine and vaccinate him. He was a little anxious and panted, but behaved perfectly when having a routine blood test taken.

Health issues:
Dingo has been neutered and has received a full health check from our vets. He has been given a clean bill of health.

Ideal home:
We believe Dingo was owned by an older person, so we are unsure whether he has ever been around children. He can jump up at times and, due to being a robust boy, we feel he would be better to live with children aged 10 years plus.

He needs a home with owners who are happy to continue helping him to lose weight and take him out for lots of lovely walks – he absolutely loves being out exploring.

Dingo has only been with us for a couple of weeks, but has been very good with dogs whilst out and about. Although we have not tested him around off lead dogs. Therefore, we feel being the only pet in the home would be best for this lovely lad.

Standard information:
Dingo is fully vaccinated and microchipped. He is currently in kennels in Worcester. He can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However, any adopter should be willing to travel to meet him twice where he is at that time.

There is an adoption donation of £120 for Dingo and all money donated goes directly to helping all the Senior Staffies in our care.
