History:
Levi came to us after their owner sadly passed away.

Current:
Levi came to SSC with his sister Jessie. However after assessing them, we've realised they are happier spending time apart as Jessie can be a bit too much for Levi.

Levi is a very friendly dog who love spending time with people. He's very affectionate and love snuggles and giving out Staffy snogs!

Levi’s favourite thing is definitely his food and he will let you know when he wants more treats!

Walking:
Levi walks well on the lead and doesn’t pull.

Levi is a little slower and he does have a nerve issue that causes him to drag his back legs, so walks need to be a little shorter for him. We’ve been told that he doesn’t like smaller dogs in his face and can be reactive to those.

Travelling:
Levi has been in the back of our van and was a little vocal, but when he was on the backseat of a car he was so much more settled and didn’t make a sound!

Vets:
He has been seen by our vets for a full examination, and blood draw, and was so well behaved for these.

He was well behaved in the waiting room.

Health issues:
Levi has an ear infection, for which treatment is ongoing at the moment. He is a bit deaf, but his hearing may improve slightly once the inflammation in his ears comes down.

He’s had several lumps on his body sampled and though one was a fatty lump, another is a Mast Cell Tumour and he will need an operation to remove this. SSC will cover the costs involved with the treatment of his tumour if this is done in an adoptive home.

Ideal home:
He can’t live with other dogs, but may be able to live with cats. We know he has lived with cats in the past so we would consider a home with a dog-savvy cat.
He can live with children 10+. He is very gentle and has lived with children but a quieter, calmer home would be better for Levi now, especially as he recovers from his operation.
We’ve been told he does settle when left at home, so after a settling-in period, he should be able to be left for up to 4 hours at a time.

Standard information:
He is microchipped, neutered and vaccinationed.

He is currently in kennels in Stoke-On-Trent, but can be rehomed anywhere in the UK pending a successful home visit. However, any adopter should be willing to travel
to meet him at least twice where he is now.

There is a non-refundable adoption donation of £120 for Levi and all money donated goes directly to helping all the Senior Staffies in our care.
