History:
Lucy came into Senior Staffy Club, from another rescue centre, where she was found as a stray.

She had been with them for a couple of months, but was finding kennel life in a large rescue too much.

When she first arrived we were told she didn’t bother with other dogs, but has started to bark at them.

Current:
Lucy is currently in our Worcester kennels. Since arriving with us, we have discovered she is a very lively girl and loves being on the go all the time.

She absolutely loves toys and can become very excited with them.

She is a real love bug and will shower you with kisses

Walking:
Lucy absolutely adores going for a walk, she is happy to walk with you for as long as you want to go. She can be strong on the lead, but is very responsive to her name.
She really loves walking down the lanes, she is very alert and interested in her surroundings. She has displayed a fairly high prey drive around the lambs when they are running around in the fields.

We have not tested Lucy with dogs as we were told she was dog reactive since being in the previous kennels. We have passed dogs out walking and whilst in their gardens. She sometimes barks, but most of the time if she has enough space she totally ignores them.

She hasn’t reacted to people, push bikes or traffic passing her whilst out and about.

Travelling:
We have not tried Lucy in the charity van yet but will do so very soon.

Vets:
The vets came to kennels and Lucy was very well behaved for them to complete her health check, blood tests and vaccinations.

Health issues:
She has had full health check including blood test and the vets have confirmed all her blood are within the normal ranges for her age.

Before arriving to Senior Staffy Club Lucy had an upper canine tooth and some lumps removed from her back and left hind leg, these are all completely healed up.

Ideal home:
• Lucy would need to be the only pet in the home.
• Because Lucy came in as a stray, we are unsure whether she is house trained or would be happy to be left alone, so she would need someone who can be at home a lot to begin with and build up to being left.
• Children would need to be 12 years plus, as she is a cheeky energetic girl and is very toy orientated.

Standard information:

Lucy is microchipped and vaccinated. We are unsure if she is spayed, if not this will need to be done and SSC will cover the cost.

She is currently in our Worcester kennels, but he can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However, any adopter should be willing to travel to meet her at least twice where she is now.

There is a non refundable adoption donation of £120 for Lucy and all money donated goes directly to helping all the Senior Staffies in our care.
