History:
Toby came into the Senior Staffy Club as he was not getting on with the small child in the home.

Current:
Toby is currently in our Worcester kennels. He is a bundle of love and everyone who meets him falls in love with him straight away.

He is a super friendly lad who craves your attention. He is most happy if he is involved in what ever you are doing. He absolutely loves a tennis ball and he loves a game of fetch.

He always takes his treats gently and is a polite, well-mannered boy.

Walking:
Toby walks beautifully in the lead - if he feels a little tension on the lead, he falls back to your side.

When Toby arrived, we were told he was dog reactive and, although initially he did react to dogs barking at him, he has calmed down beautifully.

He is happy to walk in Bing's company at a safe distance and on lead. We have not dog tested Toby, so care should be taken when out in areas with off lead dogs.

We haven’t exercised Toby off lead, but his recall has been very good on the long line whilst playing over the fields.

He has seen sheep and shown little interest.

He isn’t bothered by people, push bikes or traffic passing him whilst out and about down the lanes.

Toby absolutely loves time in the sofa room after his walks. He is amazing at the puzzle treat toys and loves finishing up with a cuddle on the sofa.

Travelling:
Toby hasn’t travelled with us yet, but will be tested soon.

Vets:
The vets came to the kennels and Toby was very well behaved for them to complete his health check, blood tests and vaccinations.

Health issues:
Toby has had a full health check including blood tests, all his bloods came back within the normal range.

We were told Toby has elbow dysplasia and he had regular hydrotherapy in his previous home.

Our vet has examined Toby several times and he wasn't particularly bothered about manipulation of his right forelimb. The vet advised he did not feel he needed further intervention for his elbow at this point, and to just monitor it.

Toby is on Yumove daily.

Ideal home:
• Toby is looking for a home where he will be the only pet.
• He doesn’t like to spend long hours on his own, so a home where his people are home lots would be perfect.
• Toby would need to live with children aged 8 Years +.

Standard information:

Toby is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.

He is currently in our Worcester kennels, but he can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However, any adopter should be willing to travel to meet him at least twice where he is now.

There is a non refundable adoption donation of £120 for Toby and all money donated goes directly to helping all the Senior Staffies in our care.
