Host your own Staffy Café!

During July and August we are inviting you to have a coffee morning, or afternoon tea, or any kind of tea party you fancy, to raise funds for us and help the seniors.

How the Staffy Café Day Will Work

How the Staffy Café Day Will Work

You can register at any time before Sunday 16 July to host your own Staffy Café sometime before the end of August. Maybe one or two of your friends or family will bake cakes for you to sell alongside your tea and coffee?

Some of the fun things you can do at your event are:
Have a lucky dip of sweets or toys for children.
Bake a cake and get people to pay £1 to guess the weight of the cake - the closest to the actual weight gets to take home the cake!
Have a tombola with donated items.
See if your local shops will donate an item or service that you could raffle.

If you want one, we can also send you a donation box to have out on the day for people to donate - even loose change mounts up!

Do take lots of photos during your café day - we’d love to see them and with your permission will feature some of them on our social media platforms.

We have lots of other ideas to help you make your event a success; everyone who registers to take part will be sent an information pack.

Planning Your Event

Organising a fundraiser may seem daunting, but with a little planning it can be easy and fun.

Our information pack will make sure your event goes smoothly, including the following tips:

Ask friends or family to help you
Decide whether you need to borrow cups, plates etc or whether you’ll buy some paper ones
Recruit some cake-makers!
Ask local businesses to supply raffle or tombola prizes, or try to find them in your local charity shop
Put up a poster in your window if you are happy for everyone in your neighbourhood to turn up!

Think about publicity: we can provide you with a poster to print out to advertise your Staffy Café Day; you can add your own date, address etc to personalise it.

Where Your Money Goes

Every penny counts, as we do not receive any government funding.

£10 provides a kennel for one night £10 buys blankets or toys
£25 pays for a senior’s first vaccination and worming treatment
£40 pays for the second vaccination and kennel cough inoculation
£300-500 pays for neutering or spaying
£100 buys a blood test
£15 pays for a senior to be microchipped
£400 pays for testing and removal of cancerous lumps
