How to leave your legacy

How to leave your legacy

1) Draw up or update your will
Visit a legal adviser to draw up or update your will. If you don't have one, you can find one through the Law Society or STEP websites.
If you would like to leave a gift in your will to our Senior Staffies, we strongly recommend that you speak to a solicitor to ensure that your wishes will be carried out as you intend.

You will need to take the following details with you:

Senior Staffy Club
Registered Address: C / O Unit 7 Rockhaven, Triangle Park, Triangle Way, Gloucester, GL1 1AJ
Registered Charity Number: 115672
An example of wording you could use:

I leave my / X share (s) of my residuary estate for the Senior Staffy Club, registered charity number 1156723 (England and Wales), absolutely for its general charitable purposes and I declare that the receipt of the treasurer or other proper officer for the time being shall be a sufficient discharge to my executors.

2) Safely Store Your Will
Make sure your will is stored in a safe place and that someone you trust knows where it is. It's also important to make a copy of your will for your own records. Your legal adviser will often store your original will free of charge.

3) Let Us Know
If you have remembered Senior Staffy Club in your will, we’d love to hear from you. Not only will this help us make plans for the future of the rescue, it also means we can thank you properly for your support. Anything you tell us will be confidential and not legally binding.
